Your Health Idaho is the state-run marketplace where Idahoans under 65 buy individual and family health plans and apply for the premium tax credit. Idaho runs its own exchange, so the dates are set here rather than on HealthCare.gov. For 2027 coverage, Your Health Idaho lists open enrollment as October 15 to December 15, 2026.
Why the window matters more this year. The carrier lineup changed for 2027. The Idaho Department of Insurance 2027 individual rate review lists seven carriers: Blue Cross of Idaho, Moda Health, Molina Healthcare, Mountain Health CO-OP, Regence BlueShield of Idaho, SelectHealth and St. Luke's Health Plan. PacificSource, which sold marketplace plans in Idaho for 2026, is not on the 2027 list. If you have a PacificSource plan through Your Health Idaho today, you need a new plan for January 1. Prices moved too. The same Department of Insurance page shows a 12% average statewide increase in final 2027 individual rates before any tax credit, with each carrier landing somewhere different. Letting a plan renew on its own can mean paying more for a network that no longer fits, so the window is the time to look, even if you plan to stay put.
What happens after December 15. Outside open enrollment you can only change plans with a qualifying life event, such as losing other coverage, moving, marriage or a new baby. Those events open a special enrollment period, usually 60 days. Our qualifying event finder shows which events count.
