Short answer: For the 2026 plan year, the standard Medicare Part B premium is $202.90 per month and the Part B deductible is $283 per year. Part A is premium free for most people, with a hospital deductible of $1,736 per benefit period, and Part D prescription costs are capped at $2,100 out of pocket for the year.

Those four figures are set by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and apply nationwide, so they are the same in Boise as they are anywhere else in Idaho. They are published amounts, not estimates.

Part A (hospital). Most people pay no premium for Part A because they or a spouse worked and paid Medicare taxes for at least 40 quarters, which is about 10 years. If you have fewer than 40 quarters you may pay a monthly premium. The hospital deductible is $1,736 per benefit period in 2026, and a benefit period can restart more than once in a calendar year.

Part B (medical). The standard premium is $202.90 per month in 2026 with a $283 annual deductible. Higher-income households pay more through an income-related adjustment called IRMAA, which is based on the tax return from two years earlier.

Part D (drugs). Premiums and deductibles vary by plan, but the annual out-of-pocket maximum is capped at $2,100 in 2026. Once your spending reaches that cap, your covered drugs cost you nothing for the rest of the year.

What sits on top. Whatever you add to Original Medicare is the part that actually varies. A Medicare Advantage plan may have a $0 premium but its own copays and out-of-pocket maximum. A Medigap policy has a monthly premium that differs by carrier, age, and ZIP code. A standalone drug plan has its own premium. These are filed by insurance companies county by county and change every plan year, which is why no honest page can quote you a single number for them.
